Communication Designer

As a Communication Designer at Spaceship, you will help shape how our brands communicate and evolve. You’ll combine strong design craft, creative thinking, and emerging technologies to develop visual identities, campaigns, and communication systems that engage millions of users worldwide.

We’re looking for a designer who is curious by nature — someone who experiments, challenges established approaches, and explores how new tools, including AI, can expand what designers are able to imagine, create, and deliver.

You won’t just create compelling visual work. You’ll help us rethink how that work is created, scaled, and experienced.

The Interview Process: It will have 3 stages that include a 45 min HR chat, Home Assessment,1h Cultural/Technical chat

Reporting to: Brand Design Manager, Juvenal Pinheiro

Your team: You will mainly be part of a team of 17 (1 Brand Design Manager, 1 UX Manager, 1 UX Assistant Manager, 5 Design Leads, 5 Communication Designers, 1 Motion Designer, 2 Visual Designers and YOU!) and a wider group of designers.

What will you do

As part of the Brand team, you’ll create and evolve visual identities, campaigns, and communication systems across digital touchpoints. You’ll translate ideas and complex challenges into strong, distinctive visual concepts, from early exploration to polished execution. You’ll think in systems, creating scalable solutions that maintain brand consistency across different contexts. You’ll explore AI and emerging technologies as part of your creative process, using them to experiment, prototype, and expand what’s possible. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll combine strong craft, creative judgment, and curiosity to continuously improve both the work and how we create it.

What You’ll Bring

• You excel at giving form to ideas, interpreting concepts, and developing distinctive graphic directions, visual identities, and communication systems.

• You have strong foundations in typography, composition, colour, hierarchy, and visual storytelling, with exceptional attention to detail and craft.

• You think in systems, creating visual languages that can scale consistently across different channels, formats, products, and experiences.

• You have strong creative judgment, knowing how to explore, select, refine, and evolve ideas into relevant and distinctive design solutions.

• You are proficient with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, while actively exploring AI and emerging technologies to expand your creative process and capabilities.

• You are comfortable moving beyond traditional graphic design, exploring motion, interaction, prototyping, automation, or new creative tools when they help bring an idea to life.

• You can clearly articulate the thinking behind your work and collaborate effectively with designers, copywriters, UX teams, and other disciplines and stakeholders.

• You are curious, proactive, and adaptable, continuously experimenting with new approaches and technologies while maintaining high standards of craft, originality, and brand consistency.
